Report: Haynesworth claimed by Buccaneers

Albert Haynesworth, who was released by the Patriots on Tuesday, was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wednesday, according to ESPN.

Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy landed on injured reserve earlier this week, opening up a need in the middle of their defensive line.

Still, even if Haynesworth fills a positional need, it's surprising that any team would give him a shot after things didn't work out in New England.

From PFT:
He just doesnt sound like a player that Morris would want to take on. The risk doesnt seem worth the reward for a team like the Bucs.

The Buccaneers will play one of Haynesworth's former teams, the Tennessee Titans in Week 12.
