Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was in a Nebraska court Wednesday morning, disputing a suspicion of DUI charge from July 11, which could prompt a revocation of the two-year probation he’s serving for assaulting a police officer in April 2012.
The 23-year old denied all allegations of driving under the influence, according to a tweet by Lincoln Journal Star reporter Lori Pilger, who said the judge then ordered Dennard to return to court August 27 for a hearing on whether he violated probation in the case.
Dennard was sentenced in April to two years probation and a 30-day jail sentence to be served in March 2014 for assaulting a Lincoln, Neb. police officer in April 2012, a week prior to when the Patriots drafted him in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
Dennard will be allowed to attend Patriots training camp, which begins today.
