Redskins sign former Patriots DL Ron Brace

The Redskins have signed former Patriots defensive lineman Ron Brace.
A second round pick by New England in 2009, Brace had plenty of appeal for power at 6-3, 330-pounds. But even moving around from backup nose tackle to defensive end in a 3-4, and then back to D-tackle in a 4-3, he still never found a great fit in four seasons with the Patriots.
Brace was put on waivers December 29 after playing just 92 snaps the 2012 season. He was clear and free to sign with another team February 9.
The following day it seemed his future would come down to Philadelphia or Washington as Brace began posting hints on his public Facebook page: "chocolate city or the city of brotherly love?" and "liberty bell or the white house?"
The Redskins made the move official Thursday morning.
