Tom E. Curran was rolling in his fantasy football battle with Kay Adams, but Adams put a stop to it last week by picking up a win.

This week, Curran picked Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker, San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead, and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

“The Patriots had some interest in [Sanders] in the offseason,” Curran said. “I think he will show on Sunday at New England the reason the Patriots had that interest. He can be a weapon on reverses, he can be a weapon out of the backfield. I think between Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders, the Patriots will have more focus on Antonio Brown.”

Kay Adams selected Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Matthews, and Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon.

“This is about the time where he is about to break your fantasy heart,” said Adams of Matthews. “This is about the time where he is going to let you down. I like the matchup this week. So, I really think one more week of Ryan Matthews playing the hot hand, don’t let me down.”
