Update: Welker questionable, Fletcher out for Sunday

FOXBORO -- After missing Wednesday's practice with what the Patriots' injury report listed as a neck issue, wide receiver Wes Welker had limited participation in Thursday's practice, and was present on the field Friday at Gillette Stadium. He's listed as questionable for New England's Sunday tilt against the Giants.

The only two missing players were linebacker Dane Fletcher (thumb) and offensive lineman Donald Thomas. Thomas' absence is not injury related; he's with his newborn baby and will play Sunday. Fletcher will be unavailable.

Eight Patriots other than Welker are questionable for game play: safety Josh Barrett (thumb), defensive end Shaun Ellis (rib), running backs Kevin Faulk (knee) and BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe), defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth (back), linebacker Jerod Mayo (knee), offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back).
