FOXBORO -- Running back Stevan Ridley returned to Patriots practice on Friday after missing the last two sessions because of a death in the family.

Missing from Friday's sweats and shells session was offensive linemen Sebastian Vollmer (backfoot) and Marcus Cannon. Vollmer has been battling injuries since August and has seen action in just six of New England's 12 games. Cannon's absence is new.
