Mayo steels himself for visit to Pittsburgh

The Patriots may have a lot of success in Heinz Field -- they're 4-1 since the stadium opened -- but Jerod Mayo doesn't relish playing the Steelers there.

"You can't really compare it to any other NFL stadium," the Patriots linebacker told Tom E. Curran on Thursday's edition of 'Quick Slants'. "Those fans are rowdy; they get those Terrible Towels flailing in the wind and things like that. It gets loud in there.

"It's a tough place to play, and it'll be a great challenge for us."

As for the toughest place he's ever played, Mayo -- who went to Tennessee -- said "pretty much all those college teams in SEC have great atmospheres and great fans".
