FOXBORO -- Like his quarterback, Patriots owner Robert Krafthas never seen the highlights of the Patriots' Super Bowl 42 loss to the Giants.
"I've never been able to watch it," Kraft said at a press conferenceto announce the team will give out several "New England service awards" to those military personnel, nurses, firemen, police officers, and teachers that "dedicate themselves to their communities.". "But I do remember, at the end of the game, the ball going through Asante Samuel's hands. And if he had caught that ball that had gone through his hands, we would have been able to take the game, and we would have won the game."
Tom Brady has often said he, too, has never looked at film of the last-second, 17-14 loss.
Kraft said he remembers a lot about the game, though.
"Giants quarterback Eli Manning doing a great job escaping that pile of guys we had on him, and whether the whistle blows, the great catch by David Tyree. All these things, in the end, there's a lot of little things.
"That was a great game and that was a great team."
