Curran: Is Cunningham on the list?

PITTSBURGH - The Leigh Bodden development this week has me on high alert wondering if there are more shoes to drop . . . or be placed in the posterior of underachieving players.

And Jermaine Cunningham has to be one of the team's bigger disappointments. A second-round pick in 2010 out of Florida, he can't get on the field. And when he's there, he doesn't do much.

He has a tackle this season. As in one. And that was an assist.

He will be one of the inactives Sunday in Pittsburgh, along with wideout Julian Edelman, OL Donald Thomas, linebacker Dane Fletcher, safety Josh Barrett, running back Shane Vereen and quarterback Ryan Mallett.

Edelman wasn't on the injury report this week. His absence means Wes Welker and, possibly, Taylor Price or Kevin Faulk will be called on for punt return duty.

Faulk and Brandon Deaderick are both active after having been activated officially on Saturday. Jerod Mayo and Brandon Deaderick are both good to go as well today.
