Branch wants to retire as a member of Patriots

Deion Branch doesn't want to hang 'em up just yet, but when he does, he hopes to do so as a member of the New England Patriots.

The 33-year-old told ESPN Boston that he hopes to be back with the team next year, then, when the time is right, he'll ride into the sunset wearing the Flying Elvis.

This is where I want to be, this is where I want to retire, Branch told ESPN. This is why I came back, for the opportunity to play in this game. Im pretty sure I will be here in this position next year.

Branch is not under contract for next season. The only Patriots receivers who under contract as of right now are Chad Ochocinco and Julian Edelman.

Ochocinco is scheduled to make 3 million next year so it would be a surprise if he were to return after such an unproductive regular season.

Wes Welker could be back via the franchise tag if he doesn't reach a new deal with the Pats this offseason.
