Brady re-injured left shoulder in Super Bowl

To the surprise of no one who watched Super Bowl XLVI and saw Tom Brady folded up like a chaise lounge on a third quarter sack by Justin Tuck, the Patriots quarterback did indeed aggravate his injured left shoulder on the play. But even though Brady's completion percentage dipped over the final quarter when he threw the game's only interception, the Patriots quarterback was said to be unaffected by the injury. Brady's pocket mobility on the play he was picked off, and the scramble and 60-plus yard throw to the end zone on the game's final play, would seem to be proof of that. Brady initially bruised shoulder against Miami in Week 16. He missed some practice time in the weeks after the injury but also threw six touchdowns in a Divisional Playoff win over the Broncos. His offseason work will not be impacted by the injury.
