Picking through the non-Revis corners on market

With Aqib Talib now a Bronco and Darrelle Revis Inc., still based in Tampa Bay, the Patriots are going to have to plumb the cornerback market to improve the position.
Who’s a free agent at the position? An accounting (in no particular order):
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, 27
He’s 6-foot-2 but built like a stop sign. He’s absurdly fast but sometimes not entirely engaged. He spent one year with the Broncos on a $5 million deal and played pretty well but was a bust with the Eagles after they acquired him in the Kevin Kolb trade. The Broncos ended negotiations when they signed Talib. In short, he’s tender.
Tarell Brown, 29
The 5-10, 193-pounder had been a Niners starter but was supplanted late in the season and played in sub situations after a rib injury. The Niners often expressed interest in keeping him but haven’t consummated anything. Durable for the most part and a willing tackler.
Cortland Finnegan, 30
A case study arguing against overpaying for corners. Signed a five-year, $50 million deal with the Rams before the 2012 season. Released with prejudice last week. At 5-10, 179, the famously feisty Finnegan can’t cover outside anymore and is getting overwhelmed in the slot too. No go.
Brandon Browner, 29
The 6-4, 221-pounder who was part of the Seahawks massive and hard-hitting secondary will serve a four-game suspension at the start of the season for weed. That was reduced from a year’s suspension on appeal. He’ll be 30 when the season starts. Not sure if he’s good enough to be worth the headache and handholding.
Antonio Cromartie, 29
The 6-2 Cromartie turns 30 in April. Hip issues last season led to a steep decline. A good player when motivated and a ridiculously outstanding athlete but a bit of a moron.
Asante Samuel, 33
He’s 5-10, 185. There are some in Foxboro who still haven’t forgiven him for losing track of David Tyree.
Captain Munnerlyn, 25
He’s 5-8, 195 and is coming off a very good season with the Panthers. The Jets are kicking the tires on Munnerlyn. Little.
