There's a report from Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia that the Patriots put a call in to the Eagles about DeSean Jackson.

There have been murmurs that Jackson's days in Philadelphia are numbered due to his diva attitude.

Bob Neumier spoke to Michael Barkann of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia about the report, and about Jackson.

Why would the Eagles do it?

"I think for two reasons," Barkann said. "One, is the antics, and certainly not off the field . . . but I think moreover, you saw the scenes on the sideline. There were a couple of incidents on the sideline during the season where he got into some dust-ups with his teammates and moreover the coaching staff. And also, the big thing Neumie, is they think they can win without a big threat deep threat wide receiver."

Jackson isn't the first diva to play in Philly. In fact, he's not even close to the worst. That "honor" goes to Terrell Owens. So where does Jackson rank on that scale, if T.O. is a 10?

"I don't think he's on the T.O. scale because I don't think he's got the accomplishments of T.O., he's just not there," Barkann said. "T.O. is a future Hall-of-Famer, DeSean Jackson, in his dreams, at least right now. I would put him at a 6 I guess on the T.O. scale is T.O. is a 10. He certainly is a great receiver, he certainly has great hands. He's a dual threat as well because he can return punts."
