While the Patriots’ offense seems revived as of late, there are still questions surrounding their defense.

With a vast amount of injuries on the defensive side, the defense has struggled to overcome the adversity.

Paul Perillo on Patriots Football Weekly said it’s time for the Patriots young secondary to step up.

“[The injuries] are going to put a lot of pressure on some young inexperienced players,” Perillo said. “They’re going to have to fill the void because the Patriots are really banged up.”

With the secondary in doubt, the Patriots run defense has improved over the past few weeks.

“It really wasn’t very good after Vince Wilfork went down stopping the run,” Perillo said. “They really had a lot of trouble virtually in every game. But against Carolina it was much better and I think the 3-4 look is a big part of that.”
