The New England Patriots have had plenty of rest with their bye week, and now have a tough task in front of them when they play the Carolina Panthers on Monday night.

Paul Perillo on Patriots Football Weekly discussed what the Patriots will have to do to win on the road.

“Duron Harmon might have to be pressed into action here for Steve Gregory,” said Perillo with Gregory most likely out due to a broken thumb. “Cam Newton is a load. He is going to do a whole lot of different things. Not a lot of guys that run the ball the way he does can also throw it. So I think this puts a lot on the plate for Harmon this week. We’ll see if the rookie is up to the task.”

Another matchup to look for is the battle at the line scrimmage, and whoever can win that battle can give themselves an advantage.

“When the Patriots have gotten in trouble this season and really in the recent past, they haven’t been able to control the line on either side of the ball,” Perillo said. “This is going to be a big test. We know Carolina wants to run the football. The Patriots run defense is lacking.”
