After a 30-27 overtime loss to the New York Jets last week, the Patriots are searching for answers, especially on offense.
Once again, the Patriots offense is still struggling with their consistency as they have not put up very good offensive numbers this season.
Paul Perillo on Patriots Football Weekly believes the Patriots need to go back to the running game to solve their offensive problems.
“To me, it all comes down to Stevan Ridley,” Perillo said. “I think that he is clearly the number one ball carrier on this team. And there are too many times when he disappears from the offense for long stretches.”
Aqib Talib’s absence from last week’s game opened up the door for rookie defensive back Logan Ryan, who performed well with an interception returned for a touchdown against the Jets.
“I thought for a rookie, with his first really extended playing time, there is a lot to like about Logan Ryan,” Perillo said.
