New England signed the 23-year old offensive tackle Friday morning.Belichick confirmed the news, first reported by Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe.
Weems is a 6-5, 318-pound former Oregon Duck. He went undrafted in 2012 (he didn't have a full pro day workout because of a hamstring injury) but was signed by the Vikings.
Minnesota waived Weems July 24.
