The Patriots added another linebacker, A.J. Edds, to the roster on Thursday.
Edds is actually making a comeback to the team; he spent part of 2011 on the 53-man roster, playing in two games, and on the practice squad. The 6-4, 256-pounder doesn't have much in the way of stats because of knee injuries. Not only did Edds spend his rookie year (2010, with Miami) on the IR list because of a torn right ACL, but he lost the following season (this time in Indianapolis) after tearing his left ACL during training camp.
He has 11 NFL games and 13 total tackles to his credit.
