FOXBORO -- Reggie Dunn has been released by the Patriots after their final day of mini-camp.
The second-year wide receiver out of Utah was an intriguing option for the Patriots at the position because of his blazing straight-line speed. With a 4.24-second 40-yard dash coming out of college in 2013, he was one of the fastest players in that year's rookie class. He was likely the fastest player in the Patriots' locker room once he signed onto the team's practice squad in January.
The Patriots used Dunn during OTAs and mini-camp not only as a wideout, but also as a punt returner.
With the move, the Patriots' roster now sits at 89 players. They have room to add one more for training camp, which will start next month.
