The Patriots released defensive tackle Myron Pryor on Thursday, according to CSNNE.com's Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran.

Pryor, a 6th-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2009, played in 24 career games for the Patriots, accumulating a combined 34 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.

Pryor hasn't played a down for New England since suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2 of the 2011 season against the Chargers. He suffered a setback in 2012 with a torn pectoral, which prevented his comeback in 2012.
