The Patriots had one remaining roster spot to fill going into Sunday's game in Buffalo, but that changed on Saturday when they announced the re-signing of Leon Washington, whom they previously cut on Sept. 1.
Washington was originally signed by the Patriots in March to improve their relatively weak kick return game from season's past.
He's a three-time All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler, including last season with the Seahawks.
Washington had worked out for the Giants after his release from the Patriots, and reportedly had drawn interest from the Jets.
The Patriots also announced that they signed offensive lineman Josh Kline from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, released defensive lineman A.J. Francis from the 53-man roster, and signed offensive lineman Braxston Cave to the practice squad.
