FOXBORO -- Tuesday was essentially a Wednesday for the Patriots, as they alter their weekly schedule to prepare for a game in London on Sunday.
Bill Belichick briefly discussed the effects of the trip during a conference call on Monday, but in his Tuesday press conference at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots coach went more in-depth about the team's schedule of preparation, calling Friday a "transition" day.
"We're going to try to add a little bit of extra time on the back end, to rest and kind of get adjusted and all that, rather than spend it on game planning and that kind of thing," said Belichick on Tuesday. "We're going to try to do that on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, instead of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We'll kind of take Friday as a travel day.
"We'll see how much we actually get done on Friday. I don't want to say it's a lost day, but I think it's certainly a big transition day for us. Saturday, hopefully we can get back into our regular routine, and treat Saturday kind of like a normal Saturday."
