Vegas has spoken, and they say the Panthers should win Monday night against the Patriots.

The 7-2 Patriots were 1.5-point underdogs when the betting lines opened on Monday.

The 6-3 Panthers have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL, winning their last five games including a 10-9 win on the road in San Francisco in Week 10.

While the Patriots have lost their only two games of the season on the road -- in Cincinnati and in New Jersey against the Jets -- they played their best game of the season most recently against the Steelers in Week 9, albeit at home, and look to have not only all of their offensive weapons ready to go, but perhaps cornerback Aqib Talib back as well.

Not to mention an extra week of rest and preparation coming off the bye week.

So, just how good have the Patriots been after the bye week? Under Bill Belichick, they are 10-3, and 9-1 in their last 10 seasons. They are 5-1 on the road after the bye week.

And they're even better in the second half of the season. Since 2010, the Patriots are 24-1 in the second half, and overall under Belichick they are 83-21 in the second half.
