FOXBORO -- Vincent Jackson is as dangerous as they come on the football field.

At 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver is a physical specimen. The Patriots would know that even if they didn't practice with and play against the Bucs in the preseason.

But since they did practice with and play against Tampa Bay just last month, they were able to get a first-hand look at Jackson's strengths.

"He's one of those bigger receiver-body guys, with a huge catch radius that can run," said Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington. "He has good hands, and he's not afraid to get physical, either. He'll catch those tough balls in those sticky situations. He's a great talent. They don't get easy, do they? They don't get any easier. So we definitely have to be aware of where he is on the field."

Aqib Talib also acknowledges Jackson's versatility. Whether lined up on the outside, or in the slot, the Patriots know -- from from those joint practices and the preseason game -- what Jackson will throw at them on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

"He runs routes like a smaller guy, and then he run them deep balls like a 6-4 guy," said Talib. "So, I mean, he's kind of got the best of both worlds at wideout. He's real hard to defend.

"He brings that quickness to the table, so he can get in the slot and still get open. He definitely brings both sides to the table."
