The New England Patriots defense has a tough test in front of them as they take on the New Orleans Saints high-powered offense.
Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees leads the attack and has weapons all over the field in tight end Jimmy Graham, running back Darren Sproles, and wide receiver Marques Colston.
Mary Paoletti and Tom E. Curran discussed on Quick Slants the upcoming challenge for the Patriots.
“Drew Brees might not have a 20-to-one touchdown to interception ratio like Peyton Manning, but he is doing some excellent things this season,” Paoletti said. “He is second in the NFL behind Manning in passing yardage. And the scary thing is, his receivers aren’t his first, second, or third option in the passing offense.”
The Patriots will need all the help they can get from their defense to slow down Brees and the rest of the Saints.
“Bill Belichick talked about it this week, they have to defend sideline to sideline and all the way to the end line,” Curran said.
