We have seen this before from the New England Patriots. With their rash of injuries, many are wondering if the Patriots will be able to overcome the adversity.

In 2003, the Patriots set a then NFL record by starting 42 different players and they still went on to win the Super Bowl.

The Patriots are hoping that precedent is true for this season as Mary Paoletti and Tom E. Curran gave their thoughts on the injury situations.

“If any team can maybe get through adversity, it might be the Patriots, we’ll see,” Paoletti said.

While Paoletti thinks the Patriots might be able to fight through the adversity, Curran doesn’t think so.

“[They’re] screwed,” Curran said. “I’m not sure if the NFL now is the NFL then.”
