The Denver Broncos are only one of two teams who have a better record than the New England Patriots in the AFC.

The Broncos’ quarterback, Peyton Manning, was in the news this week, but not for his MVP-like season. Going back to Indianapolis to play the Colts for the first since he left, Manning’s former boss, Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, lashed out at Manning this week.

Glenn Ordway, Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie talked about Irsay’s outburst on New England Tailgate.

“You are an ingrate Jim Irsay when you sit there and you slap Peyton Manning and that franchise in the face by basically saying you had to change your entire system, he only won one championship,” Ordway said. “Some kids just shouldn’t be handed this stuff that easily. They should have to work for it.”

While Peyton Manning is grabbing all the headlines, the Broncos get Von Miller back this week after serving his six-week suspension for violating the NFL’s drug policy.

“Bad news for the rest of the league because one of the or maybe the only Achilles heals for the Denver Broncos was lack of pressure on the quarterback, and Von Miller is coming back,” Smerlas said. “They lost [Elvis] Dumervil to free agency. Von Miller will be a big difference for that defense.”
