It's been the topic of conversation since the news came out last night that Mizzou defensive end Michael Sam is gay: Is the NFL ready for a gay player?
NFL personnel people have been quoted -- anonymously, of course -- saying that Sam's draft stock will fall since he announced that he is gay. Yet owners Robert Kraft (Patriots) and John Mara (Giants) have said that their teams would be open to employing and accepting Sam if he can help them win games.
