With each day, there seems to be more information coming out of Miami about the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin furor.
The New England Tailgate crew talked about the hazing that reportedly went on down in Miami.
“Inside the locker room, it’s sacred to the players,” ex-NFL defensive lineman Fred Smerlas said. “There is a lot of competition. They’re the biggest, baddest, best athletes on Earth. It’s very competitive, high testosterone. A lot of aggressive things happen. A lot of teasing or coaxing goes on in there and it is usually settled in the locker room.”
Steve DeOssie, who is a former NFL player with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New York Jets and Patriots, weighed in on the situation as well.
“Never, not even remotely,” said DeOssie if he has ever seen anything like this in a locker room. “This is an aberration. This is not hazing. Don’t confuse this with the good-natured stuff that goes on in locker rooms. This is a legal issue.”
