It was a day of missed opportunities on offense and more struggles in the secondary on defense as the Patriots blew a fourth-quarter lead and lost 24-23 to the Seahawks in Seattle.
It's also a little revenge for former Patriots coach Pete Carroll, now the Seahawks coach. "He's doing cartwheels right now," said Michael Felger on "Patriots Postgame Live."
The Pats' much maligned secondary allowed Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson to burn them for big plays, including the game-winner, a 46-yard touchdown pass to Sidney Rice with 1:18 left in the game.
That still left Tom Brady and the Patriots time to drive for a winning field goal, but it didn't happen. The Pats went three-and-out, finishing off a frustrating day for Brady and New England.
