The Patriots can't seem to stay out of the headlines.
Last week, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Now, the topic of discussion has been whether the Patriots should cut ties with the second-year defensive back who has been in trouble with the law before.
On Sports Sunday, Kirk Minihane gave his take on the issue, saying that the Patriots should release Dennard due to his pattern of negative behavior. Minihane didn't have much hope for Dennard turning things around.
"Dumb guys do dumb things," Minihane said. "This sure appears to be a dumb guy."
Dennard is currently on probation for punching a police officer prior to the start of his NFL career.
