Ravens-Patriots is three days away and the first verbal volley from Terrell Suggs still hasn’t been launched.

Could a Baltimore-New England matchup in December go off without anyone twisting the tail of their opponent?

No.

Off the top rope comes . . . Devin McCourty?

Asked about Sunday’s showdown with Baltimore, the Patriots safety said, “I’ll put it this way: there would be no better feeling than us beating them Sunday and (if Miami wins)… we eliminate their season right there. For me and for a lot of my teammates there’d be no better feeling. So it’s gonna be key to come out and play well on Sunday.”

McCourty said this Tuesday during our weekly Quick Slants interview at Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel and Spa.The interview airs tonight at 8 p.m.

Does he really hate Baltimore?

“A little bit,” he admitted.

More than the Jets?

“It’s close. The Jets might be at the top of that.”

In reality, the Ravens will have a sliver of a chance to make the playoffs as the No. 6 seed even if the Patriots and Dolphins win this weekend. But it will be difficult and will come down to the wire.
