FOXBORO -- The Patriots will play without Devin McCourty Sunday, as expected.

The starting safety suffered a concussion after colliding with Ravens tight end Ed Dickson last Sunday. He missed all three practices the following week. Rookie Duron Harmon will likely start in his place.

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee/shoulder) is inactive for the third time since New England's bye week. He's only started one of the four games he's played in that time.

The team does have two players back who missed last Sunday's game against Baltimore: Linebacker Dane Fletcher and starting left tackle Nate Solder. Fletcher sat with a groin injury and Solder was sidelined with a concussion.

Shane Vereen is also active against Buffalo. The running back injured his groin late in the first quarter of the Ravens game and was removed to the locker room. Though he returned, he spent time on the sideline riding a stationary bike and finished the game with just two carries for six yards.
