After a tough loss down in Carolina on Monday night, the Patriots have to bounce right back and get ready for the Denver Broncos.
Still, before moving on completely, Devin McCourty sat down with Tom E. Curran on "Quick Slants" to discuss the nature of the Monday night game, in which both teams had few possessions to work with.
“It makes every possession so important,” McCourty said. “Just because the way that game started flowing – we looked up after the first drive, it was seven minutes to go in the quarter – you knew each drive was going to be important. It just felt like it wasn’t many stops going. Teams were both moving the ball. Those games are tough.”
McCourty and the rest of the Patriots have no time to think about the Carolina game anymore, as they have shifted their focuses on stopping Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
“Right now they are on top of the AFC,” McCourty said. “It’s going to be a tough game for us. It will be a big game that we have to come in focused and ready to win.”
