FOXBORO -- The Patriots were back on the practice field Thursday afternoon and were once again without rookie receiver Josh Boyce and safety Devin McCourty.
Both Boyce (ankle) and McCourty (concussion) missed Patriots practice on Christmas Day because of their injuries.
McCourty suffered a head injury Sunday in the third quarter against Baltimore and did not return, giving way to rookie Duron Harmon at safety. Boyce suffered an ankle injury at the end of New England's Week 15 game against the Dolphins and missed all three Patriots practices last week.
The team practiced outside in shells and sweats on the lower practice field behind Gillette Stadium.
