Count Logan Mankins as another who was a little fed up with the officiating after the Patriots' 24-20 loss to the Panthers Monday night.
He joined Mike Felger on CSNNE after the game, where the first question was - you guessed it - about the final play of the game.
"I'm not sure what happened or what they were even calling," Mankins said, "but that wasn't surprising that they would call something and pick it up tonight the way they were calling things. But I'm not sure what happened."
That wasn't the only play Mankins was confused about. Earlier in the game he was flagged for a personal foul that he didn't agree with it.
"Hey it is what it is," Mankins said. "I have to live with it. But I didn't feel it was a personal foul. They told me I punched a guy in the face. I don't recall punching anyone in the face. So it is what it is, it happened."
Mankins was then asked by Felger if it was a dirty game, and cited the play between Marcus Cannon and Charles Johnson.
"No, I don't think so at all," Mankins said. "That Johnson guy, I thought he broke his leg or was paralyzed the way he was screaming out there. But sure enough he was back in the game later. I don't know what that was about. it was one of those nights where two teams were playing hard and getting after it, but it wasn't dirty."
