Mankins: Focusing on guys who 'put it on the line'

The Patriots made a last-minute, miracle drive that ended with Tom Brady finding Kenbrell Thompkins in the end zone to beat the Saints with seconds left in the game, 30-27.

Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins joined CSNNE's Mike Felger on Patriots Postgame Live to discuss the win - but that's not all.

As we all know, Rob Gronkowski was not on the field for the Patriots for the sixth straight week, despite the fact that he continues to practice with the team.

That has led to reports that the Pats and Gronk are at odds over if he's ready to play. Felger read Mankins an ESPN report today saying there's "escalated tension among teammates who have begun questioning [Gronkowski] about why he is not playing."

When asked if that was true, Mankins chose to talk about the guys who suited up.

"I don't know, Mike. You know that was a huge win," Mankins said. "We uh -- I'd rather talk about the guys that frickin' put it on the line tonight and played their butts off and how about K.T. [Kenbrell Thompkins]  making a huge catch, Tom throwing a perfect ball, the defense stepping it up, Gostkowski making big field goals; let's talk about those guys."

Felger pressed further on whether it was a distraction in the locker room.

"Not to us. We come in, game plan, work hard at practice," Mankins said. "The guys that are there, they're there; the guys that aren't, they're not."
