Alexander Bradley is suing Aaron Hernandez, claiming that he was allegedly shot in the face by the former Patriots tight end down in Miami this past winter. On Tuesday, Bradley appeared in court and was charged with OUI on a night two weeks before that alleged shooting, when he had Hernandez riding shotgun.
On Thursday, Bradley is expected to testify in front of a grand jury investigating the death of Odin Lloyd.
In January, Hernandez was with Bradley when Bradley was arrested and charged with speeding and OUI. Police say he was traveling more than 100 miles per hour when he was stopped. Hernandez was in the front seat telling the state trooper who he was and that everything was okay.
Two weeks later, Bradley claims Hernandez shot him in the face after they left the Miami strip club Tootsies. Bradley says Hernandez pointed an unlicensed gun at him, and, according to the suit, the gun discharged. Bradley says he was shot in the head, losing one eye and suffering permanent damage. His hand was also injured. Bradley is asking for damages in excess of $100,000.
