The Patriots have a day off on Saturday after spending part of Friday reviewing the film from their preseason loss to the Redskins, 23-6. They have a full week ahead of them, though, including two joint practices with the Eagles on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Here's the Patriots practice schedule for next week as it stands right now:
The Patriots will hold a normal workout on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium from 2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. There will be a Luke Bryan concert held inside the stadium on Sunday night so this practice will be the first training camp practice of the summer that will be closed to the public. Bill Belichick will meet with the media on the practice fields following the session.
Belichick will meet with the media prior to Monday's practice, which begins at 2:30 p.m. and will run until about 5:00 p.m. Once again, this will be a normal practice. The Eagles won't be present for joint practices until Tuesday.
Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly and his team will bring their up-tempo style of play to Foxboro for a workout that begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Players will be available to the media after practice, including perhaps Eagles corner Cary Williams who has been very vocal in his distaste for the Patriots in the last few days.
The Eagles and Patriots will practice together for the second time on Wednesday. This session is also scheduled to run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Day No. 2 was when the Patriots and Redskins had their most grueling joint practice last week. We'll see how Belichick and Kelly handle their second day together when it gets here.
No media availability is scheduled for Thursday. The teams could use the day as a chance to walk through some of their plans for Friday night's preseason game.
Patriots host the Eagles in their second preseason game of the 2014 season at Gillette Stadium at 7:30 p.m. The game will air live on WBZ-TV.
