What's the saying? One man's trash is another man's defensive lineman?
The Jaguars made a move on their second former Patriot in three days when they claimed defensive tackle Kyle Love off of waivers, according to multiple reports. On Tuesday, the Jags swooped in to claim recently-released defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick.
Love was let go by New England yesterday with a non-football related illness designation after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Reportedly he lost 30 pounds and has been unable to participate in offseason workouts.
It appears as though the Jaguars are not scared off by Love's health, however. If he's healthy and ready for training camp, as his agent insists he will be, the Jags will have a very serviceable defensive tackle at little cost. He played all 16 games for the Patriots in the last two seasons, including 11 last year.
