Irsay squelches notion Caserio was first choice

Colts owner Jim Irsay disputed on Sunday a report that Nick Caserio was his "first choice" to become the Colts next general manager.
Reacting to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter that Caserio was the first in line for the Colts job and was talked out of leaving by the Kraft family, Irsay took to Twitter with his objections. In a string of three tweets via the 140-character message board, Irsay said:"Adam S,not true about "1rst candidate we wanted 2hire.." There is not any candidate we "wanted to hire" I haven't interviewed
"That's the way people get false promo about being so coveted just because they don't interview somewhere;SHELL GAME..leave us out of that BS
"Adam, don't say I wanted to hire someone I never talked to or met..MISLEADING..come on,your better than that..get your head in the game, son!"
Getting "sonned" is never good for anyone. The Colts may be out of the playoffs, but they're still going to battle with the Patriots.According to reports, the Colts pursued New England's director of player personnel Nick Caserio for their vacant general manager's job, but Caserio has decided to stay with the Patriots. ESPN was first to report the story. The Boston Herald reported that it was an offer to interview with the Colts that Caserio rejected. The Patriots, including the Kraft family, met with Caserio to convince him to stay in New England, ESPN reported.
