As Massachusetts State Police returned to the home of Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in North Attleboro, Mass., and he was questioned in connection with a murder investigation, Hernandez's attorney, Michael Fee released a statement that basically said the player would have no comment on the investigation.

The statement:

“It has been widely reported in the media that the state police have searched the home of our client, Aaron Hernandez, as part of an ongoing investigation.  Out of respect for that process, neither we nor Aaron will have any comment about the substance of that investigation until it has come to a conclusion.”

Hernandez is being linked to investigation of the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a member of the Boston Bandits semi-pro football team. Lloyd's body was found Monday in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez's home.

It is also unclear if Hernandez is considered a suspect in the murder or if he is cooperating with police. Some media reports Wednesday said Hernandez hasn't been ruled out a a suspect.

Also, Wednesday TMZ reported Hernandez was sued by a man who said he was shot in the face by Hernandez after an altercation at a Miami strip club. SI.com reported that NFL personnel sources say teams were reluctant to draft Hernandez out of Florida in 2010 because of alleged ties to gangs in his hometown of Bristol, Conn.
