The Patriots will face challenges on both sides of the ball this week when they go up against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On defense, the Patriots will have to worry again about another high-caliber wide out in A.J. Green.
Andy Hart of Patriots Football Weekly discussed what Aqib Talib will have to do to shutdown another wide receiver for the second straight week.
“Another week, another pro-bowl matchup for Aqib Talib, this time around it’s A.J. Green,” Hart said. “Different challenge than Julio Jones, more of a tall, lanky receiver, but the challenge is the same, Aqib Talib shutdown the opponent’s number one target. You have been up to the task so far, do it again.”
On the offensive side of the ball, the Patriots will have to deal with one of the best defensive tackles in the league in Geno Atkins.
“We know the history of the Patriots dealing with interior pass rushers, that’s how you get after Tom Brady,” Hart said. “It’s important that [Logan] Mankins and company don’t let that happen.”
