Rob Gronkowski’s personal health updates are not very detailed. It’s a lot of “getting better every day” and “gotta work hard” until someone steps in and saves him from the mics and cameras.

On Wednesday, we got a State of the Gronk address during an NFL Play60 event in Foxboro.

“How’s my knee doing?” Gronk said, repeating the question. “It’s coming along good. Rehabbing every day. Improving every single week. That’s all I can ask for. As long as I’m improving every single week, that’s all I can ask for. I’m just doing my own thing, just getting healthy on the side.”

After battling post-surgical arm infections last offseason and multiple surgeries on his arm and back, Gronk has only his torn ACL and MCL to deal with this year.

“I just go week-by-week and I’m just progressing every week,” said Gronkowski. “That’s all I can ask for. It’s way different stuff (than last year). But this year, (I) just gotta be patient and work hard.”

Patriots owner Robert Kraft was also at the event and praised Gronkiwski for his ability bring a certain spirit to the proceedings.

“I've never seen Gronk, in all the time with us, ever say or do anything that had a negative overtone,” Kraft said. “He is always up and when you are building a team atmosphere with people from different backgrounds and different places and it's a physical game, having someone like Gronk in the system is uplifting, especially if he is on the field all the time."
