Gaffney returning to Patriots

Add another receiver to the list: Jabar Gaffney is returning to the Patriots.
The news was confirmed by a source with knowledge of the situation.

This will be Gaffney's second tour in New England, the previous being 43 games between 2006 and 2008. He had 85 catches for 1059 yards and eight touchdowns during that span.

Gaffney was released by the Redskins, who found no trading partners for the receiver, on Monday. He led Washington with 68 receptions for 947 yards and eight touchdowns (including six catches for 92 yards and a score against New England) in 2011, but was told by the team this offseason he wouldn't be brought back. Washington had acquired Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan in free agency.
