Dwight Freeney's dad is hoping his son will sign with the Patriots. His mom? Not so much.

Hugh Freeney, Dwight's pops, joined Sirius XM on Thursday to discuss his son's prospects in free agency.

Though Hugh hopes to see his son in New England -- the family is from Connecticut -- his wife doesn't exactly feel the same way.

The Patriots hosted Freeney on a visit earlier this offseason, but nothing has come of it yet.

For Dwight's part, just in case anyone was wondering what he might want, he would "love to be with the Giants," according to Hugh.
