After taking a year away from the NFL -- during which he pursued some acting among other things -- Brandon Lloyd has found a new home.
The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they have signed the former Patriots receiver.
Lloyd actually began his career in San Fran, after being taken in the fourth round of the 2003 draft by the Niners. In three years there, he reeled in 105 balls for 1,510 yards and thirteen touchdowns.
This is the seventh time in his career that the 33-year-old is signing on with a new team. He's played for the Redskins, Bears, Broncos, Rams and Patriots. In 2012, he helped the Patriots get to the AFC title game with 74 catches for 911 yards and four touchdowns.
