Want to hear what a former official has to say about last night's no-call? Jim Daopoulos is not only a former official, he is a former supervisor of officials.
He explains very plainly that he believes a penalty should have been called.
"The official saw something he saw a foul," Daopoulos said. "It absolutely amazes me that he picked up the flag. There was contact. They were holding [Rob] Gronkowski. Anybody who says that catch was uncatchable? These guys can make the catches. We as officials, the only uncatchable passes are those so far over the players head or so far in front of them that they have no possible chance in the wold to make the catch. He had an pop to make this catch, to come back and catch it, and I have no idea why that flag was picked up."
