FOXBORO -- One Patriots wide receiver missed Patriots practice at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, but it wasn't Julian Edelman. He was present, with everyone else in sweats and shells.
Wes Welker missed practice due to a neck injury. While the exact time the injury occurred is not known for sure, Welker was tackled by the headneck by Troy Polamalu in the fourth quarter, and appeared shaken up after the play.
Dane Fletcher, after being inactive last Sunday against the Steelers due to a thumb injury, missed practice again with the same injury.
Seven players practiced in a limited fashion: Josh Barrett (thumb), Shaun Ellis (rib), Kevin Faulk (knee), BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe), Aaron Hernandez (knee), Jerod Mayo (knee), Sebastian Vollmer (back).
