FOXBORO -- New England practiced in shorts and shells on the Gillette Stadium field Friday. Just three Patriots were missing at the start of the session: Steve Gregory (hip), Michael Hoomanawanui (concussion), and Julian Edelman (hand). Hoomanawanui was limited in Thursday's session.
This is the second day back for tight end Aaron Hernandez, who didn't appear to run with any sort of hitch.
Linebacker Dont'a Hightower started out running with the team but took to the sideline before the warmups were over and stretched out his hamstring. He said in the locker room he'd be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against Denver.
